วัดมุงเมือง (Wat Mung Muang) เป็นวัดเก่าแก่คาดว่าสร้างขึ้นมาก่อนที่จะสร้างเมืองเชียงราย เชื่อกันว่าวัดมุงเมืองเป็นเสมือนหลังคาที่คลุมเมืองเชียงรายเอาไว้ (คำว่า "มุงเมือง" หมายถึง คลุมเมือง) นอกจากนี้ยังมีเรื่องปาฏิหาริย์เล่ากันว่าเมื่อสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 มีการทิ่งระเบิดทั่วเมืองเชียงราย ระเบิดแปดลูกตกลงมาที่วัดมุงเมืองแต่ระเบิดทุกลูกไม่ทำงาน (Wat Mung Muang is the ancient temple and presumed that it is built before Chiang Rai city. It is believed that Wat Mung Muang is similar to the roof covering Chiang Rai city. Besides, during the World II there was the miraculous story that the whole city was bombed. There were 8 grenades falling down into the temple, but they didnot work)
พระเจ้าสองสี เป็นพระพุทธรูปศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่ชาวเชียงรายเคารพนับถือมาก เป็นพระพุทธรูปเก่าแก่อายุกว่า 600 ปี มีศิลปะแบบล้านนา สร้างจากเนื้อทองสำริดสองกษัตริย์ (Phara Chao Song Sri is the most sacred and worshiped by Chiang Rai people. It is the ancient Buddha image and its age is 600 years old. It is designed in Lanna style and built from bronze)
อุโบสถ เป็นศิลปะล้านนาประยุกต์ โดยสร้างเป็นอาคารสูงแบบที่นิยมสร้างในภาคกลาง แต่ยังคงประดับตกแต่งแบบล้านนาด้วยเครื่องไม้แกะสลักลงรักปิดทอง ภายในอุโบสถมีการออกแบบลายเพดานเป็นลวดลาย "ยันต์โบราณของล้านนา" (Chapel is buitt in contemporary Lanna style. It is constructed in a high-rise shape which is similar to the building in the central region of Thailand. But, its decoration is done by lacquered and gilded carved wood in Lanna style. Inside the chapel, the ceiling pattern is designed with ancient Lanna amulet)
เจดีย์ เป็นแบบร่วมสมัย มีการประดับจระนำซุ้มด้วยพญานาค และที่มุมฐานเจดีย์ทั้ง 4 มีีรูปคชสีห์ประดับอยู่ด้วย (คชสีห์เป็นสัตว์หิมพานต์ มีกายเป็นสิงห์และช่วงหัวเป็นช้าง) Stupa is contemporary design. The niches of Buddha images is decorated with Nage and the four bases are also decorated with the mythical creatures of the east- "Kochasri" (a mixed mythical lino the borrows head featured from an elpphandt).
พระสังกัจจายน์ เป็นพระอรหันต์องค์หนึ่งในครั้งพุทธกาลรูปปั้นพระสังกัจจายน์มีขนาดใหญ่โดยมีความสูงถึง 6 เมตร ผู้คนมักนิยมไปบูชาเพื่อขอโชคลาภและขอให้กิจการงานก้าวหน้า Phra Sang Kad Jai is one of Buddhist saints in the time of the Buddha. The statue is big which is 6 meters in height.
