ราชรถอย่างเชียงราย (Chiang Rai Style Carriage)

ดุนและสลักลายโดยกลุ่มหัตถศิลป์ล้านนา วัดศรีสุพรรณ เชียงใหม่ สร้างปี พ.ศ.2548 

ขนาดของราชรถ กว้าง 2.10 ม. ยาว 4.5 ม. สูง 5.10 ม.

ปราสาทแปดเหลี่ยมมีอิทธิพลด้านศิลปะของเพื่อนบ้านประเทศใกล้เคียง (พม่า) ไทยใหญ่ ไทยลื้อ ไทยเขิน ใช้วัสดุร่วมสมัยคือ อลูมิเนียมแผ่น สามารถใช้กับพื้นที่จำนวนมากแทนแผ่นเงินซึ่งมีราคาสูงเกินไปสำหรับงานเช่นนี้ ความบันดาลใจจากพุทธประวัติ ตอนพระพุทธเจ้าเสด็จจากดาวดึงส์ เปิดสามโลก

Size of the carriage: 2.10 m. wide, 4.50 m. long, 5.10 m. high

Decorated with distinctive Lanna style and influence of the sculptures at Wat Jedyod Chiang Mai. this masterpiece has been applied the gilding decorative method of the gold leaf with the welcoming gesture of a Deva. Specially, artists beautifully marked line on the wood caring represents ornate wooden cart. Designed with octagonal based castle, influenced from neighboring countries comprising Myanmar, ethnic Shan, and Tai races, this masterpiece is produced from modern materials including aluminum sheet which can replace high priced silver plated items, well. The inspiration behind this initiative come from life of the Buddha during his return from the desire god realm called Land of the Thirty-three Heavens.
